As children normally played with musical toys, it was a sparking differentiation
when she held a real harmonium and hummed. She started learning music from Dr.
Madhuri Dongre and continued to do so till the age of 14. Under the guidance of Dr.
Madhuri Dongre she earned a distinction in Gandharv Mahavidyalay's exams.
After hearing an inspiring performance of Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar
she decided to make a career in singing herself and thus simultaneously started
taking classes from Shri Chandrashekhar Deshpande to learn Natya-sangeet.
She enrolled in Arts stream to pursue a degree in Classical
Music. During these three years she took guidance from Smt. Meenal Joshi. Her
academic achievements include grabbing the most coveted Natu foundation Public trust

semi-classical music from Guru Smt. Kusumtai Shende and Classical music from guru
Dr. Shobhatai Abhyankar. Mrunmayee confesses and feels proud too for being one of
the first disciples of Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar whom she took inspiration from.

semi-classical music by lending her voice for famous kathak danseuses Manisha Sathe,
